Ash Wednesday is a solemn and holy day in the Church year. It is the day that we begin the season of Lent - a time where we take a reflective look at the life and suffering of Christ on our behalf. Ash Wednesday begins this season of reflection, contemplation, and repentance by bringing into focus our own sinfulness, mortality, and need for salvation found in Jesus.
It is always a joy and special to be able to gather together as God's people. However, due to dangerous road conditions and extreme cold we are going to have online worship only for Ash Wednesday this year.
Our online worship for Ash Wednesday as with other services will be posted on our website, YouTube, and Facebook.
Our in-person Ash Wednesday service has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
We will have the Imposition of Ashes on Sunday February 21 during service for those who wish to receive them.
