Our totally true Bible story is about a man named Samuel. Samuel started serving God at the Temple when he was young. Samuel learned to hear God’s voice and share His words with the people. Watch the story HERE.
Talk Together:
- What age were you the first time you went to church? What age were you when you first remember hearing about Jesus? When do you feel too young to do important things? How could God still use you to do his work?
- How many times did God call Samuel? When did Eli realize it was God calling? What did Samuel do with God’s Word that he heard?
- God talks to us through his Word, the Bible. But it’s also important to be quiet during prayer time and LISTEN with our heart for God. God wants us to keep on praying...and listening for Him.
Pray Together:
Dear Lord, thank you that you talked to Samuel and that you speak to us through your Word. Help me also be quiet in my heart to hear you when I pray. (Spend a few moments being quiet and listening.) Help me hear you, God. Amen.
