Construction / renovation update:
Phase 1 of the project is underway! Demolition & excavation around west driveway entrance, upper parking and stone retaining wall started on Oct. 22. New concrete will be poured (making a level, west entrance with no need for a ramp or steps). A concrete retaining wall will be built. The sidewalk from the parking lot to the north tower door will be replaced (eliminating the outdoor step at this door). It's anticipated that excavation will take about 3 weeks and constructing the new/replacement concrete will last through sometime in January. All of the work is being done with the desire to improve our facility and honor our Lord so that our place of worship and ministry can continue to impact our community. After demolition, we'll see a construction fence at the west entrance, to keep the public out and safe. A storage container will be placed in our parking lot when demolition has concluded. Our contractor carries "builders risk insurance" during the duration of our project. Please pray for the safety of the workers and everyone who travels in our parking lot and on adjacent sidewalks.
